Hennessey Performance have two options available for the 2016 Ford Performance Shelby GT350 Mustang. A total of 50 supercharged HPE800 models will be made, producing 808bhp by adding a 2.9 litre supercharger to the 5.2 litre V8 Voodoo engine upgrade. But watch the Hennessy HPE575 Shelby GT350 on the dyno and you may well be happy with the slightly more common version. Just make sure you turn the sound up first…
A total of 100 cars will be produced and numbered for the non-supercharged version. But the naturally-aspirated Voodoo V8 still produces 575bhp at the flywheel, which equates to 503hp at the rear wheels on the dyno.
And doesn’t it sound gorgeous?
The upgrades include 1.75 inch stainless steel long-tube headers, a stainless mid-pipe exhaust upgrade, high-flow catalytic converters and a HPE engine management upgrade. Hennessy also throw in the badges, signed plaques both inside the car and in the engine bay, Hennessy floor mats, a 3 year warranty, and a whole half of a tank of Shell V-Power 93 octane petrol.
Plus you’ll also become a lifetime member of the Hennessey Vehicle registry. Each car will also get dyno tested and up to 100 miles of road testing before delivery. Which makes us want to go and work for HPE more than ever before…
In case you haven’t heard it, here’s the HPE800 2016 Shelby GT350 Mustang for a quick comparison…
So much beautiful noise…
