There are some incredibly good looking cars out there. Lamborghini, Ferrari, McLaren, Porsche – they’re all known for continuously bringing out stunning cars. Unfortunately, not all cars are quite so easy on the eye.
If there was an award for being the ugliest cars ever, these would be some of the nominees…
Fiat Multipla
If someone asks you to name an ugly car, this will probably be the first one that comes to mind. There isn’t a single nice thing I can say about it.
Gumpert Apollo
Easily the most exotic car on the list but still up there with the ugliest. The Gumpert Apollo makes it clear that not all supercars belong on the bedroom wall.
Nissan Juke
The Nissan Juke (I call it the Puke, I’m a witty guy) is a horrendously ugly thing and anyone who buys it needs to take a long, hard look at themselves. Disgraceful behaviour.
Chrysler PT Cruiser
The PT Cruiser is just such a strange looking car, impossible to leave off the list.
Volkswagen Beetle
Not the original Beetle, I actually quite like that. I’m on about the one we were cursed with in the early 2000s. I hate these things with every bone in my body. Should never have existed.
Nissan Cube
Come on. Who has seriously looked at that and thought, “You know what? I want one on driveway”? Awful looking thing.
Honda Civic Type-R
This will undoubtedly be my most controversial inclusion and i couldn’t care less. It’s disgustingly ugly. The front end is just about bearable but what happened to the rear end? Nasty.
Ssangyong Rodius
I’ll conclude my list with whatever the hell this is. Another one where you look at it and think “Seriously? People are buying that?”. Some terrible decision making going on guys.
There are definitely a few more I could have added – I’ll give the Rolls-Royce Cullinan and the BMW 3 Series Compact an honourable mention. I just felt like making you look at any more would be a bit harsh.

The Fiat Multipla and Nissan Cube are the worst!
I have to respectfully disagree – the Gumpert Apollo really isn’t that bad, and has a bit of a Transformers feel to it. The Nissan Cube isn’t that bad either, in a cute K car style…
And although I agree about the back of the Honda Civic, there are equally bad ones – there seemed to be a trend for aerodymanic rears that looked like the back of a baboon.
I’d push for the inclusion of
The Pontiac Aztek (made famous by Breaking Bad)
The AMC Pacer (Not redeemed by Wayne’s World)
The Ford Taurus (It looked like someone had melted a Ford Sierra)
The Ford Flex (It resembles a Land Rover that’s been flattened to fit through a letter box, or been trod on like one of the Matchbox cars my dad accidentally streamlined when I was a kid)
The Austin Allegro – Good Lord those things were awful.
And pretty much anything with a Lada or Yugo badge on it.
Somehow I like the fiat multiple, just for the fact it will stand out in America
