Porsche has provided the data for anyone to produce their own Cayman S using a 3D printer. With more and more people investing in 3D printing for everything from toys to gun parts, if you don’t own one yet, you’re bound to know someone or somewhere that might.
And if you do create your own Porsche Cayman S model, you can pick your own colours and share it with Porsche using the hashtag #3DCayman. The data is available from the Porsche website on the Cayman 3D page.
3D printing car models isn’t a new idea – a while ago Ford sent out models of the Fiesta which had the Twitter name of the recipient on the side. I was lucky enough to be sent one which I still have by my desk. But this is a Porsche, after all….
