The first hybrid supercar produced by the iconic Italian car maker, it’s not entirely surprising when the Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 inspires a new Ducati motorcycle. Especially when you realise the motorcycle firm is actually owned by Lamborghini (who are then part of first Audi, and then the Volkswagen Group).
Just 63 of the Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 have been produced, and every example has already been sold, despite the $2 million price tag. Part of the attraction is the 819hp produced by the combination of a 6.5 litre V12 engine and an electric motor for an added boost.
It’s also upgraded from the Lamborghini Aventador by titanium intake valves, a reconfigured ECU, a new exhaust system, and a design featuring special touches including an embossed 63 on the winglets to honour the 1963 founding of the Lamborghini firm.
But if you’ve missed out on the Sian FKP 37, then you can pick up a Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini relatively easily. For one thing, a total of 630 of the bikes will be produced in the matching Gea Green colour with Electrum Gold forged wheel rims, and lashings of carbon fibre parts. For another, it’s going to be a lot cheaper, as mechanically it’s closest to the £20,195 Ducati Diavel 1260 S.
If you’ve already got a Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 ordered, then it’ll make sense to pick up a matching Ducati (and you can also get a colour-coordinated crash helmet to go with it), and you can probably find space for both on the back of your superyacht.
