More proof that professional racing drivers never get a day off, particularly if they work for Honda. While many drivers were at the Honda Racing Thank You Day at Motegi, another group have also been hosting the Castrol Honda Type R Drive Experience at the Circuito Tazio Nuvolari.
It was a chance for journalists and VIP guests to drive the new Honda Civic Type R with advice from drivers Tiago Monteiro (WTCC), Gabriele Tarquini (WTCC champ 2009), Matt Neal (three-time BTCC champion) and Gordon Sheddon (two-time BTCC champion).
After that they were taken out in a WTCC Honda, and they also got to see some demonstration riding by LCR Honda MotoGP rider Jack Miller.
But it wasn’t just about people having fun and making those of us stuck at home feel jealous. It was also the chance for the professional drivers, including development driver Jack Clarke, to create a cool 360 degree video of the Honda Civic Type R, Honda Touring Car and Honda MotoGP bike.
OK we’re still jealous. But we did get to virtually look around inside the Civic from our laptop, so that’s something…
