McLaren Honda F1 star and double world champion Fernando Alonso swapped to two wheels at the Honda Thanks Day. The Spanish driver rode the Honda RC213V MotoGP motorcycle, changing places with double MotoGP champion and fellow Spaniard Marc Marquez.
Honda Japan shared a tweet with the two champions.

Interestingly it appears Marquez was able to try out the Honda NSX Concept-GT during the day at the Motegi circuit. And Alonso also had the chance to try the McLaren MP4-6 which Ayrton Senna took to his third and final F1 title in 1991. Spanish was a popular language at the day as other guests include fellow Repsol Honda MotoGP rider Dani Pedrosa, and 8-time indoor and outdoor Trials champion Toni Bou, along with Japanese IndyCar driver Takuma Sato.

It’s like an early Christmas for racing fans in Japan. And if you’re wondering about the very retro racing car in the tweet from Takuma Sato, it’s the 1968 Honda RA301 F1 car mainly driven by John Surtees. It was also competed by David Hobbs and Joakim Bonnier. It was the last Honda car to compete in F1, until the 2006 Honda RA106
