Ken Block has announced via his Instagram account that Travis Pastrana will be taking his place in Gymkhana 11.
“Travis Pastrana is taking over my Gymkhana video franchise with the Hoonigans this year”, he said before detailing his excitement at being able to sit back and watch the carnage unfold this time.
He then went on to claim, “Travis gets wild in different ways than I do”, which can only be a good thing.

Pastrana, a long-time friend of Ken Block, has a reputation for being wild. He’s famous for crazy stunts on pretty much anything with wheels and his work with Nitro Circus.
Whilst he is mostly known for his work on motorbikes, he has experience on four wheels, too, having teamed up with Block at a Rally America event.
Some pretty clear outlines have been set for the eleventh chapter of Gymkhana – “Keep the essence of Gymkhana with -epic vehicle -unattainable location -precision driving with close proximity to catastrophe”.

If anyone is going to live up to what we’ve been treated to by Ken Block over the years, it’s Travis Pastrana. It looks as though he will be taking Gymkhana back to its roots, too, opting against using a Ford as Block has done so often. Instead, he’s chosen to use a Subaru that will inevitably be extensively modified.
Don’t worry – this isn’t Ken Block retiring from the series for good. He’s expected to be back behind the wheel in his Hoonifox Mustang for Gymkhana 12.
