After over a decade, Ford’s luxury brand Lincoln has resurrected their Continental name. To make its debut at the New York International Auto Show, Lincoln’s new Continental Concept will show what the luxury brand has planned in the future.
Lincoln calls the new Continental Concept “elegant, effortlessly powerful and serene.” The concept blends together craftsmanship, and technologies designed to a more relaxing and entertaining environment for passengers. The concept features a new front grill that looks similar to the current Ford Fusion/Focus, E-latch doors, new LED headlights and taillights, Venetian leather seat and door panels, new “30-way” seats that couture to any customer, Rose Gold trims around the gauges, and a variety of infotainment systems.
The Lincoln Continental Concept is very striking to look at. Lincoln’s new concept brings in the changes that they will be making to their brand, just like we have seen from Ford the last 5 years or so. You can see some of Ford’s current design in the new concept, but there is definitely a difference between the two brands. The Continental Concept will also have some performance, with a Lincoln-excusive 3.0-liter V6 EcoBoost® engine, Lincoln Drive Control ride-enhancing technologies, and Adaptive Steering.
The Continental Concept will make its debut at the New York International Auto Show later this week. The full-sized sedan will make its way to a production version sometime next year.
