Seven New Jeep Concepts will Headline the 49th Annual Easter Jeep Safari

March 27, 2015 By Ben Williams Leave a Comment

Seven new Jeep Concept vehicles will make their way through the trails during the 49th Annual Easter Jeep Safari which starts tomorrow.  The Easter Jeep Safari is attended by thousands of off-road enthusiasts, who each year enjoy a week of serious off-roading on some of the country’s most rugged and recognizable trails.  This year’s Safari will take place on the trials around Moab, Utah.

The seven concepts feature some really cool themes and all of them have been outfitted with a small collection of production and prototype Mopar and Jeep Performance Parts.  They were built by a small team of engineers, designers and fabricators that have been customizing production vehicles since 2002, and have introduced more than 50 concept vehicles for the enthusiasts who attend the popular Easter Jeep Safari.  Below you can see this year’s fruits of the team’s labor.

Jeep Chief

Jeep® Chief Concept

The Jeep Chief was designed as a tribute to classic 1970’s era full-size Jeep Cherokee. Much of the exterior of the Chief was custom built for it, including the razor grill.

The Chief is based on a highly modified Wrangler body and chassis. The doors and windshield were chopped two inches to achieve the desired 1970’s look.

The Chief sports a selection of Jeep Performance Parts that include a two-inch lift kit with Fox shocks and front and rear Dana 44 axles with lockers, cold air intake and modified Rubicon rock rails.
