Gallery: New BMW M2 MotoGP Safety Car
For almost two decades, BMW have provided safety cars for the MotoGP world championship and they’ve now revealed their car for the upcoming season. Introducing the 2016 BMW M2 MotoGP safety car…
The new performance car sits on an adjustable coilover suspension and uses carbon ceramic brakes. They’ve made a few aerodynamic adjustments, too, in the form of extra carbon blades on the front bumper and side skirts, a deeper rear diffuser and a new adjustable wing on the back.
There has been no mention of any engine upgrades but even with the standard M2 engine, it’d still be kicking out 365bhp, which is more than enough. The rear seats have been removed and BMW have also thrown out the exhaust silencers so it will definitely be a crowd-pleaser. Who doesn’t love a nice, shouty exhaust system?
With the M Performance paint job and the gold wing supports, wheels and rollcage, the new M2 safety car is very easy on the eye. Don’t take our word for it, though – You can see for yourself in the gallery below!
