Gallery: The 2016 London Motor Show
It’s been a few days since the 2016 London Motor Show finished and everywhere I look, people are still talking about it. I went on the Saturday, when it was open to the public, and it was very, very busy. This made it pretty difficult to get good photos of all of the cars on show but I got as many as I could and you can see the best of them below.
My personal Top 3:
3 – Volkswagen Tiguan
Working in a Volkswagen garage, I see the current Tiguan all the time and I’ve always thought, “If only it looked a bit more like the Touareg”. Well, the new Tiguan does and it is a huge improvement. VW have gone for a much sportier and modern look and I think it is going to be very popular. Prices start at £25,560 and you can order yours now.
2 – Zenos E10-R
Back in November, we showed you the Zenos E10-R for the first time. It was massively popular for obvious reasons. One reason is that thanks to the 350bhp 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine, similar to the one that powers the new Ford Focus RS, it boasts 500bhp per tonne. Another is that it only costs £39,995! It’s a very exciting car and it got a lot of attention at the show. For more pictures and details, see our original article on the E10-R here.
1 – Aston Martin Vantage GT8
Of all of the amazing cars on show at the London Motor Show, the Aston Martin Vantage GT8 was the one I couldn’t stop going back to. The GT8, of which only 150 have been made, is based on the V8 Vantage and takes inspiration from the car used in the World Endurance Championship. The 4.7-litre V8 produces an impressive 440bhp, 10bhp more than the regular Vantage. It costs £165,000 and it looks absolutely fantastic. If I could afford any of the cars on show, the Vantage GT8 is the one I’d take.
