Chevrolet Has Announced The Debut of their All-New, Sixth Generation Camaro

Chevrolet announced earlier today that their all-new, sixth generation Camaro will be unveiled on May 16^th in Detroit.  The Camaro has been Chevy’s response to the Ford’s Mustang ever since both cars debuted during the 1960’s.  The competition between the two models has produced some legendary vehicles for both the road and the track.  Since Ford unveiled their next-generation Mustang last year, the anticipation for what the “bow-tie” had in response has been building and truly was only a matter of time.

To celebrate the unveiling, Chevy is planning a free, day-long celebration on Belle Isle, home of the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix.  This day-long celebration includes activities such as hot-lap rides around the Belle Isle Grand Prix course in the latest Camaro Z/28 and LT1 models, test-drives in the full range of Chevrolet vehicles, meet-and-great opportunities with Camaro designers and engineers, a museum display of some of the most significant Camaro’s, and a special Camaro-only parking for owners.

Chevy will be building to the great unveil in May with a couple of multimedia releases.  Firstly, Chevy has released the sound of the all-new Camaro, and has made it available to download for free.  Secondly, Chevy created the #CAMAROSIX to further celebrate the Camaro’s release.   Chevy will also be slowly releasing photos of some of the new, reengineered parts of the all-new Camaro as we get closer to the final release date.  The first two photos will be available later this week on the 19^th.  If you would like to see more information, view the release photos, register for the event, or download the Camaro soundtrack, go to www.thecamarosix.com.
