Video: Scary crash in BTCC race at Snetterton
Some scary footage of a crash at last weekend’s British Touring Car Championship event at Snetterton has been posted online.
At the start of race three, a pile-up on the main straight caused Hunter Abbott’s Chevrolet to overturn and flip over the barrier into a television camera gantry. Both the driver and the cameraman escaped serious injury which is, quite frankly, unbelievable.
The incident has raised concern amongst the drivers over the standard of the driving in the championship with many calling for something to be done about the frequency of these avoidable accidents.
