Porsche Will Now Replace Your Classic 911’s Dashboard

Is the dashboard in your classic Porsche 911 in-need of major repair or replacement? Porsche will now replace your classic 911’s dashboard for you. This offer comes from Porsche Classic, Porsche’s classic arm that offers a wide variety of parts for classic and more modern Porsche models. These are all factory spec replacement parts the classic Porsche owners can use to restore their cars to close to their original state.
The dashboards that Porsche Classics is offering are modern interruption of the classic 911, using modern materials and classic Porsche design. The dashboards are meant for the 1969 through 1975 model years and are available for order at any authorized Porsche dealer. The dashboards will be priced at a surprisingly reasonable $1,353, excluding taxes and shipping charges from Germany.
There are a few drawbacks to this dashboard. First of all, in order to replace the dashboard, Porsche has to use their original manufacturing methods, which includes the front windshield has to be removed. This is why Porsche highly recommends that the dashboard should only be installed by a specially authorized Porsche dealer partners who have trained experts. This is a bit of another drawback for customers in the Western Hemisphere since most of these partners are a bit out of reach. Porsche Classics is working on this, however, and will be expanding service network to around 100 Porsche Classic partners over the next several years.
