Ken Block tests the 2016 Focus RS

Ford asked Ken Block to test drive their 2016 Focus RS at their facility in Cologne, Germany and this video is the result…

It really does look fantastic. Its 2.3l EcoBoost engine produces an amazing 345bhp and with four-wheel drive and a very impressive ‘Drift Mode’, you can expect to have a lot of fun driving this car. For obvious reasons, though, I’d advise not using ‘Drift Mode’ on the school run…

The 2016 Focus RS will get from 0-62mph in a swift 4.7 seconds and will reach a top speed of 165mph. A shift light flashes at the optimum time to change gear and the electrically controlled twin-clutch controls how much power goes to the front and rear wheels for maximum stability.

Best of all, though, is the cost. At only £28,940, the Focus RS is cheaper than competitors such as the Volkswagen Golf R and the Audi S3! Optional extras such as Recaro racing bucket seats and semi-slick tyres will bump the price up, though.
