BMW unveils special 40th Anniversary Sebring livery
The 12-hour race of Sebring takes place on March 21st, 2015, and the second round of the United SportsCar Championship will see BMW race in a special livery to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their first Sebring victory.
The original 1975 win came in a BMW 3.0 CSL driven by Brian Redman, Sam Posey and Hans-Joachim Stuck. The trio were reunited to see the two 2015 BMW Z4 GTLMs which will race this year. In addition to the livery, one of the two cars will also race under the same number 25 as the first winner.
It’s certainly possible that a BMW will take the top step of the podium, after BMW Team RLL took second and fourth at the series opener in Daytona.
It’s hard to know which car looks better, although we’d probably be more tempted by the 1975 BMW 3.0 CSL for looks alone.
