2015 Chicago Auto Show: Make Your Own MX-5 Miata
Following Wednesday’s teaser, Mazda unveiled their MX-5 Miata accessories design concept at the Chicago Auto Show. This new concept features different design details and accessories that will allow customers to personalize their MX-5 Miata the way they want.
The design concept at the Chicago Auto Show features an the same aero kit that can be found on the MX-5 Global Cup Car, and includes a front air dam, side sill extensions, rear bumper skirt, and rear lip spoiler. The design concept will also feature forged, black BBS wheels, lightweight Brembo brakes, and a lightweight, carbon fiber luggage rack. Oddly these are the only options that Mazda has released at this time. I really expected some type of different engine, transmission, and suspension options to be included with the concept. While these options might come later, I still think its odd for Mazda to only bring only slight visual and performance options to Chicago.
According to Mazda, the personalization options shown on the design concept will be available later this summer. The concept will be on display at the Auto Show throughout next week.
