Would you trust your money in a Renault Bank?

It turns out supermarkets aren’t the only companies to have branched into banking. French car makers have now joined the act with the UK banking launch of RCI Bank. If you already knew RCI stood for Renault Credit International , which has launched in France, Germany and Austria already in the last three years, then you’d know as much about high finance as we do.

The RCI Banque initially worked on automotive finance, insurance and other related interests for Renault since 1974, and then Nissan. The first ZESTO saving account for the general public launched in France in February 2012.

Apparently it’s available exclusively through MoneySuperMarket with 1.5% interest for the next couple of weeks. But we’d suggest you probably don’t base your banking decisions on a car blog. We wouldn’t really recommend making many of your car decisions based on this car blog, considering some of our own choices (Dan’s Nissan NX100 and Ben’s 90’s Pontiac Firebird both spring to mind).
