Peugeot Sort-Of Teases a New Super Car

Peugeot, who has been building mostly cheap family cars the past couple of years, shared some teaser photos of their latest creation which will apparently be a supercar.  From the photos that were shared, Peugeot’s super car will feature the same supercar styling that we have seen from the last couple of years.  However, before we get all excited here, this is Peugeot that we are talking about, so this might not make it to production.  Peugeot has an ever growing portfolio of concepts and one-of’s that never make it to production, with one of the most recent ones being the Onyx supercar from the 2012 Paris Motor Show.

The Internet rumor mill agrees, and is saying that this supercar will be a Gran Turismo 6 video game exclusive as part of the Vision Gran Turismo series.  Peugeot would be joining the ranks of Mini, Mercedes, and several other automakers who have worked with the Gran Turismo team on this series over the last few years.  Gran Turismo is developed by Polyphony Digital, headed by company founder and fairly successful racer Kazunori Yamauchi who regularly competes in endurance racing around the world.  We can probably expect to see more information about this car within a week or two.
