Gallery: Porsche Museum in Stuttgart

On Saturday, I shared with you a gallery of photos from Friday’s trip to the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, Germany. Since then, I’ve had a few people ask me, “If you were in Stuttgart, why didn’t you visit the Porsche Museum, too?”, and the answer is simple – I did.

Porsche Museum

An interesting bit of parking outside the Porsche Museum…

In actual fact, the Porsche Museum was my personal favourite out of the two. It cost the same €8 to get in and, although there isn’t nearly as much to see, it was quieter, cooler and generally a more enjoyable place to be. That’s just my opinion, though, and with that being said, I’d still recommend the Mercedes Museum just as highly – both are a very interesting experience.

One thing you’ll notice looking at the pictures is that the lighting in the Porsche Museum is much better than that at Mercedes. The latter, though well lit in places, was generally very dark which made getting decent photos of certain cars a tad tricky.

I’m going to stop talking now and let you drool over some photos! Like the piece on the Mercedes Museum, I’ll show you my personal top three displays and then the rest of the highlights will follow…

3 – 908/03 Spyder

2 – 918 Spyder

1 – 911 GT3 RS

And the rest of the highlights…

I hope you enjoy the pictures. Do let us know what you think of the Porsche Museum either in the comment section below, or via Facebook or Twitter!
